“Muffler” Mike Kostiuk:

ALB @ HFX

Halifax. The game is in the Nest, and the FireWolves are without Nardella, Connor Kelly, and possibly Doug Jamieson. Hard to see Albany keeping this game close.

SASK @ COL

Colorado. The Mammoth will look to avenge that opening weekend shellacking at the hands of the Rush.

HFX @ TOR

Toronto. Doubleheader weekends are tough for any team, but moreso when the second game is on the road against a good team. The Rock spoil Halifax’s chance to sweep.

PCLC @ PHI

Philadelphia. This one comes down to veteran leadership and savvy. The Wings have much more of it than Panther City does.

GA @ BUF

Buffalo. Bandits will continue their recent dominance of the Swarm. More importantly, let’s all hope the NLL makes next week’s Power Rankings make sense by dropping Buffalo from the top spot despite any win margin – this isn’t college football!

SD @ CGY

San Diego. Former Roughnecks seem to love returning to their old home and lighting it up. Expect it will happen again.

LV @ VAN

Vancouver. SOMEONE has to win this game – I’m going with the home team.

ROC @ NY

Rochester. Another case of bad timing for a struggling team. The Riptide need to turn things around, but will find it difficult against the hottest team in the league right now.

Shawn Slaght:

Albany vs Halifax

Pick – Halifax

I think we are going to see a similar situation to last week. Albany is really missing Nardella and Withers is going to dominate on the face off dot.

Saskatchewan vs Colorado

Pick – Saskatchewan

To be clear, this will not be a repeat of Week 1. It’ll be a lot closer. I really like how this Saskatchewan team is coming together and that young defence will give Colorado fits.

Halifax vs Toronto

Pick – Toronto

The Rock are starting to put it all together. Under other circumstances I’d consider Halifax, but they have a tough back-to-back schedule.

PCLC vs Philadelphia

Pick – Philadelphia

I’m still trying to get the pulse on this Panther City team. They are starting to come together, they just need some consistency. Last week Philly looked like the team we expected them to be.

Georgia vs Buffalo

Pick – Buffalo

Georgia is going through its bumps right now and wins will be tough to come by. I just don’t think they have the firepower that Buffalo has.

San Diego vs Calgary

Pick – San Diego

I learned my lesson last week. San Diego is hands down the better team and the transition didn’t turn out to play much of a factor.

Las Vegas vs Vancouver

Pick – Vancouver

Battle for the basement in the west. Vancouver went through a lot of changes in the past couple weeks and I think it’ll be a wake up call. It’ll be short lived, but we’ll see a Vancouver team playing for their jobs.

Rochester vs New York

Pick – Rochester

This Rochester team has got to be the most well-rounded team in the league. Meanwhile, New York is searching for answers as they should be better than their record shows.

Gary Groob:

Friday:

Albany FireWolves @ Halifax Thunderbirds

Halifax wins.

Albany is suffering through the injury bug. A good team at full strength, I don’t think they are a match for the Thunderbirds.

Saskatchewan Rush @ Colorado Mammoth

Pick: Colorado

Dillon Ward will steal some games in net for the Mammoth. This is one of those games. Awhile the teams are quite even, the edge goes to the All-Star goalie.

Saturday:

Halifax Thunderbirds @ Toronto Rock

Pick: Toronto

The Rock finally righted the ship last week against New York. Also Halifax on the back end of back to back games, look for the Rock to pull away in the second half.

Panther City Lacrosse Club @ Philadelphia Wings

Pick: Philadelphia

Panther City looked very average last week vs. Rochester.   I think the Wings are a deeper team than PCLC.  The Knighthawks exposed a chink in Nick Damude’s game, look for the Wings to exploit it.

Georgia Swarm @ Buffalo Bandits

Pick: Buffalo

The Bandits beat the Saarm last week in Georgia, and this will be more of the same. Buffalo is too strong for the rebuilding Swarm.

San Diego Seals @ Calgary Roughnecks

Pick: San Diego

The Seals have gelled as a team over the last few weeks. Through adversity builds character! Look for San Diego to jump out to an early lead and go wire to wire.

Las Vegas Desert Dogs @ Vancouver Warriors

Pick: Las Vegas

This is going to be historic!   The Desert Dogs first win in the team’s history.   Vancouver is in disarray, while Vegas is moving forward, albeit slowly.

Sunday:

Rochester Knighthawks @ New York Riptide

Pick: Rochester

I still don’t think the Knighthawks get the respect they deserve.  Rochester is firing on all cylinders, with great goaltending.   New York is spuddering at the moment, and this game won’t help.

John Craig:

ALB @ HFX

Halifax.

SASK @ COL

Rush.

HFX @ TOR

Toronto.

PCLC @ PHI

Philadelphia.

GA @ BUF

Buffalo.

This is PAINFUL but for the second week I got to pick Buffalo!

SD @ CGY

San Diego.

LV @ VAN

Las Vegas.

Sorry Troy! BUT on a positive note you are better looking than your brother!!

ROC @ NY

Rochester.

Ryan McMichael:

Friday:

Albany FireWolves @ Halifax Thunderbirds

Pick: Halifax

Saskatchewan Rush @ Colorado Mammoth

Pick: Saskatchewan

Saturday:

Halifax Thunderbirds @ Toronto Rock

Pick: Toronto

Panther City Lacrosse Club vs. Philadelphia Wings

Pick: Philadelphia

Georgia Swarm @ Buffalo Bandits

Pick: Buffalo

San Diego Seals @ Calgary Roughnecks

Pick: Calgary

Las Vegas Desert Dogs @ Vancouver Warriors

Pick: Las Vegas

Sunday:

Rochester Knighthawks @ New York Riptide

Pick: New York
