“Muffler” Mike Kostiuk:

ROC @ HFX

Rochester. No reason not to stick with the Knighthawks until they have a hiccup.

BUF @ PHI

Buffalo. The Wings looked terrible last week. I don’t expect that to significantly change this week.

BUF @ NY

New York. Riptide catch a break, between building momentum off their first win of the year, and a tired Bandits team on the back end of a doubleheader.

LV @ SASK

Saskatchewan. Great win for the Desert Dogs, but this week they’re playing with the big dogs.

TOR @ CGY

Toronto. The Rock are finally finding their stride. Calgary will be a tough matchup, but Toronto’s transition gives them the slight edge.

SD @ COL

Colorado. The Mammoth continue to make the most of their first homestand in a pivotal against a Seals team that is most likely to be their biggest roadblock to the West Division crown.

PCLC @ VAN

Panther City. Unfortunately, I can’t fathom a way in which Vancouver recovers from last week’s epic collapse in Vegas.

Shawn Slaght:

Rochester vs Halifax

Pick – Rochester

This could be a key match up in the East. The fact of the matter is Rochester just finds ways to win games and they do it by committee. I don’t have any reason to believe they won’t win.

Buffalo vs Philadelphia

Pick – Buffalo

Saying Philly didn’t play well last week would be an understatement. They need to turn things around quick, but I don’t see it against Buffalo.

Buffalo vs New York

Pick – New York

The Riptide catch a bit of a break here. This will be a game where Buffalo’s age will begin to show and New York’s youth will come shining through.

Las Vegas vs Saskatchewan

Pick – Saskatchewan

Las Vegas came up with a huge win last week but here’s a dose of reality: The Rush aren’t the Warriors. I could see Saskatchewan running away with this one.

Toronto vs Calgary

Pick – Toronto

We’ve seen the last couple weeks what the Rock are capable when they are firing on all cylinders. It’ll be a goaltending duel between CDB and Rose. However, I think the Rock are the more balanced team.

San Diego vs Colorado

Pick – Colorado

It was very tempting to pick San Diego. I’m going with Colorado for two reasons: 1) San Diego has question marks in goal while Colorado is solid with Ward and 2) San Diego’s high-powered offence has been disappointing so far.

Panther City vs Vancouver

Pick – Panther City

Panther City was already a tough foe and now add Callum Crawford to that mix and they just get stronger. On the other side of the floor, I think Vancouver would need a miracle to win this game.

Gary Groob:

Friday:

Rochester  vs. Halifax

Rochester wins.

The Knighthawks are the most well rounded team in the league at the moment.  Halifax has had a rough time lately.  The Knighthawks speed will give the Thunderbirds problems in this game.

Buffalo vs. Philadelphia

Buffalo wins.

These teams are going in opposite directions.   It was a terrible outing for the Wings last week against Toronto, and if they don’t address the issues, this will be the same.

Saturday:

Buffalo vs. New York

Buffalo wins.

While New York is on the upswing, they still have a ways to go to get on the Bandits level.  Look for Matt Vinc to frustrate the Riptide shooters all game long.

Las Vegas vs. Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan wins.

Las Vegas Olson their first game, but this is a tougher test.  Look for the Rush to really test the goaltending of the Desert Dogs, with a slew of shots from everywhere.

Toronto vs. Calgary

Toronto wins.

The Rock are the most explosive team in the league, and will really test the Roughnecks defense.   Toronto has the stingiest defense in the league, and this will show again in this game.

SD vs. Colorado

SD wins.

While it would be just as easy for me to pick Colorado, I think the Seals have something to prove in this game.  After losing to Calgary, and a bye week, the Seals team is frothing at the mouth to get back at it.

Panther City vs. Vancouver

Panther City wins.

With all the moves, plus the already strong nucleus, I think Panther City goes wire to wire in this game.

John Craig:

ROC @ HFX

Halifax.
The mighty have to fall at least once

BUF @ PHI

Buffalo.

BUF @ NY

Buffalo

LV @ SASK

Saskatchewan.

TOR @ CGY

Toronto.

SD @ COL

Colorado.

PCLC @ VAN

Panther City
