Building for the future which is a theme for the 2022 Philadelphia Eagles is and what Aidan Hutchinson projects to be. NFL execs all agree that this prospect fits all the on-field and off-field aspects. This is what makes him a must-have on any defensive line of the future.
Hutchinson has the ability and character attributes that are making NFL insiders drool. Most have him graded out to be a future consistent All-Pro and Pro Bowler at the next level. The type of scheme he plays in doesn’t seem to be an issue as his football IQ is also one of his attributes.
NFL POTENTIAL SCALE 1-10
Hutchinson combines strength, speed, and explosiveness to be an impactful interior threat as well as an edge threat. He blends exceptional mechanical ability with raw power to assist him in creating the necessary leverage against his opponents. Quick hands enable him to shake off blockers making him an above-average pass rusher. Areas of concern with him are smaller arms (length) creates grappling situations the need to identify that and shake that makes it an area of improvement. His run stopping also has been graded as average. NFL Potential 9
EAGLES POTENTIAL 1-10
With an abundance of holes along with this roster, Hutchinson is a no-brainer as the Birds continue to build for the future. Looked at as an elite project by some makes Philly an ideal landing spot for Hutchinson. He would be given the opportunity to grow and be a leader on the Eagles’ defensive front of the future. AND WITH 15th PICK IN THE 2022 NFL DRAFT THE PHILADELPHIA EAGLES SELECT not Aidan Hutchinson
Not for the lack of the want or need of the player but simply put he won’t be there at 15 for the Eagles. Hutchinson will be a top 5 selection so simply put without trading up he won’t be there. The next question do we trade the farm and mortgage the future to trade up to grab him? In my humble estimate, NO! There is too much work needed for this roster to do that.
