Players on the Calgary Mounties Junior A team in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League tested positive for COVID-19 last week, which will have schedule implications for the Saskatchewan SWAT and Okotoks Raiders.
According to a Twitter post by the league, the players were partially vaccinated, but were showing symptoms of the virus.
Along with members of the Raiders and SWAT, officials have also been notified and Saskatchewan and Alberta testing and quarantine protocols are now in effect.
The league says games on Monday, July 16 between the Mounties and the Raiders and Friday, July 30, between the SWAT and the Mounties have been cancelled.
The SWAT have games against the St. Albert Miners this weekend that went ahead as the SWAT were able to field a team with fully vaccinated players, players that did not play against the Mounties on July 16 and Junior B affiliated players.
The league is reminding players that if they have symptoms to get tested and the league should be notified immediately if a player, coach or official tests positive.
