Year To Date:

Shawn………………34-22

Pat……………………30-26
Gary………………….28-28
“Muffler” Mike…..25-31

Week 11 picks:

“Muffler” Mike Kostiuk:

LV @ HFX

Halifax. As improved as the Desert Dogs looked last week against Albany, I have a hard time thinking they can duplicate that feat in Halifax. The Thunderbirds run away with this one.

COL @ PCLC

Panther City. Neither team is where they want to be in the standings right now. Giving the edge to a Panther City squad returning home for the first time in a month.

GA @ ROC

Rochester. The Knighthawks are desperate to halt a 4-game losing streak, and I’m not entirely sold on Georgia’s consistency this year.

CGY @ TOR

Toronto. The Rock stay atop the league standings with a season sweep of the Roughnecks.

SD @ NY

New York. Both teams are on fire despite having young goaltending. Leaning towards the more veteran Riptide defense making the difference here.

SASK @ VAN

Saskatchewan. It’s a revenge game, and it couldn’t have come at a better time for the Rush (or a worse time for the Warriors).

Shawn Slaght:

Las Vegas vs Halifax

Pick – Halifax

I just can’t get a gauge on this Desert Dogs team. One night they can look like contenders and the next they look terrible. I have to go with the more consistent team in the Thunderbirds.

Colorado vs Panther City

Pick – Panther City

Two more teams that have been wildly inconsistent. I get the feeling Panther City will be looking for blood more since the game against Saskatchewan the previous week was within their grasps.

Georgia vs Rochester

Pick – Georgia

I just have a hard time betting against this Swarm team. The talent is all there and they are unbeatable when they can put it all together. Rochester got off to a hot start but they are floundering now.

Calgary vs Toronto

Pick – Toronto

The Roughnecks just aren’t the same team they were in the past. They have been competitive in most games but can’t come away with the ‘W’. Unless they punch above their weight they’ll have a tough time getting by Toronto.

San Diego vs New York

Pick – San Diego

This will be a back and forth battle. Orig is picking up his game and if they can shut down Jeff Teat they’ll have a chance.

Saskatchewan vs Vancouver

Pick – Saskatchewan

Picking the Rush for two reasons: 1) Derek Keenan and Jimmy Quinlan are 5-0 as co-head coaches and that’s tough to ignore. 2) You better believe the Rush remember what happened last time and will be determined not to give away a game to Vancouver again.

Gary Groob:

Las Vegas vs. Halifax

Halifax wins.

I like this Halifax team!  They have grit, they have finesse, and with Warren Hill back to his old self, they have goaltending.   Las Vegas is too inconsistent for me to back them in this game.

Colorado vs. Panther City

Panther City wins.

I can’t figure out the Mammoth either this year.  I like the make up of Panther City, and think as they mature together, they will be a real force for years to come.

Georgia vs. Rochester

Rochester wins.

The Swarm team has had some problems recently, but seem to be getting out of their funk.  Rochester has lost four in a row and are due.  Connor Fields and Ryan Smith will be on their game, giving Brett Dobson a busy evening.

Calgary vs. Toronto

Toronto wins.

This Rock team has found numerous ways to win this year.  Transition has been sensational, offense is strong, and the defense has been as good as years past.  Calgary put up a good fight last week at home, but Toronto is too much for them on the road.

San Diego vs. New York

San Diego wins.

As much as I would like to see the Riptide continue the success they have been having, I think the Seals are just too deep a team.  However, that being said, if the defense allows Jeff Teat to operate…this could be the upset of the week.

Saskatchewan vs. Vancouver

Saskatchewan wins.

The Rush looked good last week under the coaching of Quinlan and Keenan.  Although Vancouver showed much more heart, I think the Rush come away with a narrow victory.

Eduardo Curros:

Las vegas vs Halifax.

Halifax is difficult, playing them at home is order of magnitudes harder.

Colorado vs Panther City

Colorado is due to bounce back.

Georgia vs Rochester

Georgia has too much healthy firepower and Dobson.

Calgary vs Toronto

Toronto…Nick Rose and a healthy rock will spell trouble for the Roughnecks.

San Diego vs NY Riptide

I have discounted the Riptide for weeks and paid for it. Riptide have home advantage.

Saskatchewan vs Vancouver

Vancouver for the win

Pat Bernard:

Las Vegas vs. Halifax

Thunderbirds

Colorado vs. Panther City

Panther city

Georgia vs. Rochester

Swarm

Calgary vs. Toronto

Rock

San Diego vs. New York

Riptide

Saskatchewan vs. Vancouver

Rush
