Year To Date:

Shawn……………..63-44

Eduardo…………..62-45
Gary…………………61-46
“Muffler” Mike…51-56

Week 18 picks:

“Muffler” Mike Kostiuk:

SASK @ PHI

Philadelphia. Both teams are pissed off after their Week 17 performances. I’m going with the less tired squad.

BUF @ PHI

Buffalo. Unfortunately for the Wings, the Bandits are also pissed off about their Week 17 performance.

HFX @ ROC

Rochester. Two more teams who had dismal performances in Week 17. Going with the higher scoring home side to send Halifax to their fifth straight loss.

VAN @ LV

Vancouver. Finally, a team that actually won last week! The Malawsky Effect is starting to manifest, and as long as that number in the loss column remains at 9, the Warriors have a shot at the playoffs.

Shawn Slaght:

Saskatchewan vs Philadelphia

Pick – Saskatchewan

These are two teams that desperately need a win. I think it’s going to come down to defence. The Rush offence has enough fire power while Philly’s defence has been the Achilles heel.

Buffalo vs Philadelphia

Pick – Buffalo

The Wings really get the short end of the stick this week. Buffalo really needs this win and won’t lay down for a tired Wings team.

Halifax vs Rochester

Pick – Halifax

This could be a close one. When Rochester finds their groove they are a dangerous team. However, Halifax is just playing at another level right now.

Vancouver vs Las Vegas

Pick – Vancouver

It took longer than expected but I think we are now seeing the Curt Malawsky effect. The culture around the Warriors locker room is changing and they are believing again.

Gary Groob:

Saskatchewan vs. Philadelphia

Saskatchewan wins.

Both teams had a rough week last week, but I feel the Rush just have that little extra.  The young legs are more resilient than we think.

Buffalo vs. Philadelphia

Buffalo wins.

This really is a must win for the Bandits.   They have to create separation from the lower tiered teams or risk not making the playoffs because of tie breakers that they don’t have with many.

Halifax vs. Rochester

Halifax wins.

This Thunderbirds team has all the talent to be a championship calibre team.  They need to be disciplined!  They can match Rochester’s offense.  I give a slight edge to the Thunderbirds goaltending (if Warren Hill is on!).  The big thing is defense, which I give the advantage to Halifax.

Vancouver vs. Las Vegas

Vancouver wins.

The present Warriors are nothing like the team that started the year.  The Desert Dogs unfortunately are the same team, still looking for their identity.  Each category I give a slight edge to the Warriors.

Eduardo Curros:

Saskatchewan vs. Philadelphia

Saskatchewan

Buffalo vs. Philadelphia

Buffalo

Halifax vs. Rochester

Halifax

Vancouver vs. Las Vegas

Vancouver

Pat Bernard:

Saskatchewan vs. Philadelphia

Saskatchewan

Buffalo vs. Philadelphia

Buffalo

Halifax vs. Rochester

Halifax

Vancouver vs. Las Vegas
