Pat…………………….22-20
Gary………………….22-20
“Muffler” Mike….20-22

Week 9 picks:

“Muffler” Mike Kostiuk:

COL @ VAN

Vancouver. The Warriors have not forgotten how their previous matchup with the Mammoth went, and will be chomping at the bit to exact some revenge at home.

ROC @ HFX

Rochester. Neither team can seem to put together a full 60 minutes, but I have more concerns right now about Halifax, having dropped three straight.

BUF @ TOR

Toronto. After last year’s East Conference Final, this date has been circled on the Rock calendar. Time to show last year’s playoff series was a horrible anomaly.

GA @ NY

New York. Hard to believe the Swarm could drop to .500, but I have to go with the momentum the Riptide are building.

SD @ PHI

Philadelphia. While most will focus on the Seals offense versus the Wings defense, don’t forget there’s a 21-year old in net for San Diego, and the Wings offense is more than capable of putting up high scoring totals themselves.

PCLC @ LV

Panther City. Another revenge game, this time Panther City won’t stand for any last second comebacks from the Desert Dogs.

Shawn Slaght:

Colorado vs Vancouver

Pick – Colorado

Both teams are coming off massive wins. I feel like Colorado has turned a corner and they are looking like their old selves again, which is bad news for the Warriors.

Rochester vs Halifax

Pick – Halifax

Really this game could go either way. Take nothing away from Riley Hutchcraft, but I think they are really going to miss Rylan Hartley in goal. Halifax has been a tad more consistent so I have to go with the Thunderbirds.

Buffalo vs Toronto

Pick – Buffalo

I’m 100 per cent going against logic here. I could be here all day listing the reason why the Rock will win this game. However, the Bandits also get revved up for this rivalry and they’ll punch above their weight in this game.

Georgia vs New York

Pick – Georgia

This is a tough one. New York has looked good the past couple games. I just need a bigger sample size from them. That, and we all know what Georgia is capable of when they are firing on all cylinders.

San Diego vs Philadelphia

Pick – San Diego

Consistency will be a big issue with the Wings. They can be world beater when they want to be. Defense is still very questionable with Philly and that could be bad news against San Diego’s high-powered offense.

Panther City vs Las Vegas

Pick – Panther City

I have to give a slight edge to Panther City. Last time these two teams met Panther City really should have won it but let it slip away. They won’t make the same mistake twice.

Gary Groob:

Colorado vs. Vancouver

Vancouver wins.

This team has a lot of upside.  They seemed to have bought in to Curt Malawsky’s plan.  Colorado is very inconsistent, and the Warriors will take advantage of any little thing.

Rochester vs. Halifax

Rochester wins.

Halifax has had problems on defense and in goal.  The Knighthawks have a loy of firepower to expose this problem.  Riley Hutchcraft has been great in relief of Rylan Hartley, and will be steady once again in this game.

Buffalo vs. Toronto

Toronto wins.

The Bandits aren’t quite the Bandits of old.  Toronto has had a chip on their shoulder since being embarrassed in last year’s playoffs.   This is their first meeting since then.  Look for a track meet between the two teams.

Georgia vs. New York

Georgia wins.

The Swarm are coming off a loss to Toronto in which they played well for three quarters, but let the fourth get away.  This won’t happen this week.  Lyle vs. Jeff Teat is one for the ages, but the support staff I have to give the advantage to Georgia.  Brett Dobson is the real deal on net as well.

San Diego vs. Philadelphia

San Diego wins.

This won’t be close.  The Wings will hang around for a while, but the Seals are firing on all cylinders now.  Injuries have hampered the Wings all year, and this will be exposed even more.

Panther City vs. Las Vegas

Panther City wins.

The Panther City team is a very good team.  They have had a few bad breaks, but Las Vegas will need everything to be at the ready of they want to stay in this game.  Look for Nick Damude to have an exceptional game.

Eduardo Curros:

Colorado vs Vancouver

Colorado should win…but not by much…Vancouver might pull this off but Colorado has the majority of advantages.

Panther City vs Las Vegas

Panther City is due for a win against Vegas… especially against damude.

San Diego vs Philadelphia

San Diego by alot…

Georgia vs New York

Georgia has Dobson who is making quick work of anyone…and the array of firepower.

Buffalo vs Toronto

Buffalo….A healthy Buffalo vs Toronto who is missing multiple setpieces.

Rochester vs Halifax

Halifax

Halifax is going to go off after what happened two weeks ago…I am curious how Rochester will deal with the barage of shots.

Pat Bernard:

Colorado vs. Vancouver

Vancouver

Rochester vs. Halifax

Rochester

Buffalo vs. Toronto

Toronto

Georgia vs. New York

New York

San Diego vs. Philadelphia

San Diego

Panther City vs. Las Vegas

Las Vegas
