“Muffler” Mike Kostiuk

ROC @ GA

Georgia. With a win clinching a first round home playoff game, the Swarm take care of business, going 4-1 on their season-ending 5-game homestand.

VAN @ SD

Vancouver. This one is difficult – the Seals are 7-1 at home, constantly find ways to win, and have had the Warriors’ number for some time now. But this Warriors team truly has everyone believing, and they’re more red-hot than they’ve been in the past decade.

COL @ HFX

Halifax. The Thunderbirds are coming off a bye week, and in dire need of some positive momentum heading into whatever first-round playoff destination lies ahead. Also, “With the first pick in the 2024 NLL Entry Draft, the Philadelphia Wings select…..”

ALB @ NY

New York. The Riptide will already know before the game if they are eliminated from playoff contention. However, this game is about exacting revenge on a geographic rival, while closing down an iconic barn on a high note.

PC @ CGY

Panther City. They may also know if they’ve made the playoffs before they take the floor (they’re in if Halifax wins). But Panther City also still has a shot at a first round home playoff game. Meanwhile, Calgary is eliminated and can only try to play spoiler.

TOR @ SASK

Toronto. The Rock cap off a stellar regular season by stifling the playoff hopes of the Rush.

BUF @ LV

Buffalo. I’d like to pick Vegas based on their season-ending momentum. But I’d also like to get back to .500 on my picks for the year.

PHI @ ROC

Philadelphia. As crazy as it sounds, the Wings will finish with the second best road record of anyone in the league with a win.

Shawn Slaght:

Rochester vs Georgia

Pick – Georgia

Rochester is a bit of an enigma. They look great when Rylan Hartley is in net, but struggle when he isn’t. With his concussion history, you just hope he sees limited time for his own health. Georgia also was to get the best possible position they can for the playoffs.

Vancouver vs San Diego

Pick – San Diego

Even though San Diego has locked up second place, they can’t afford to sit back. They were embarrassed last weekend in Saskatoon and need a bounce back game before the playoffs.

Colorado vs Halifax

Pick – Halifax

Similar to Georgia, Halifax wants to get the best possible playoff position. Colorado has struggled all year and will go out in a whim.

Albany vs New York

Pick – New York

I really went back and forth on this one. My fear is that the rest of the league has figured out the Firewolves. Add in the fact New York needs a win to have a chance at the playoffs and I have to go with the Riptide.

Panther City vs Calgary

Pick – Panther City

Panther City has shown they are the real deal this season. I’m going with PCLC because they have more to play for.

Toronto vs Saskatchewan

Pick – Saskatchewan

My Hail Mary pick. Toronto has first place wrapped up. They’re going to be resting guys and simply playing not to get hurt. Way too much is on the line for Saskatchewan.

Buffalo vs Las Vegas

Pick – Buffalo

Buffalo has not been as dominant as they have been in past years. Somewhat like San Diego they need some momentum going into the playoffs.

Philadelphia vs Rochester

Pick – Philadelphia

My spoiler pick. Philly isn’t a bad team and guys are playing for jobs. Rochester’s offence has gone silent so I’m expecting a bit game from Zach Higgins.

Gary Groob:

Rochester vs. Georgia

Georgia wins.

A win means a home playoff game!  The Swarm is rested and ready.  Rochester is reeling.  The bright spot for the Knighthawks is the return of Rylan Hartley in net.

Vancouver vs. San Diego

Vancouver wins.

The Warriors have been one of the hottest teams around . This game means nothing to the Seals.

Colorado vs. Halifax

Halifax wins.

The Thunderbirds need momentum heading into the playoffs.  Colorado is having injury trouble again.  This has been a season to forget for the Mammoth, but the Thunderbirds are hoping to get over the next hump.

Albany vs. New York

Albany wins.

Although I have been going back and forth on this outcome, I feel the deeper team, with better goaltending is Albany.  In order to go into the playoffs on a good note, they will have to get off this losing streak.  Look for the FireWolves to throw everything they have at the Riptide.

Panther City vs. Calgary

Panther City wins.

This Panther City team is resilient!  Every time you think they are done, they find ways to win. While Calgary has played well recently, they are inconsistent.   Look for Callum Crawford to put the team on his back for the win.

Toronto vs. Saskatchewan

Toronto wins.

The Rock are looking for their 15th win of the year, and go into the playoffs with all systems blazing.  The Rock are almost 100% healthy.  Look for Nick Rose to cement his goalie of the year season in this game.

Buffalo vs. Las Vegas

Buffalo wins.

The Bandits are looking for a home playoff game and need to win.  They are peaking at the right time, and while Vegas has looked good, are no match.

Philadelphia vs. Rochester

Philadelphia wins.

Both teams are playing for next season.  The Wings look to build on last week’s game.  Look for a high scoring affair, with two powerful offenses.

Eduardo Curros:

Rochester vs Georgia

Pick – Georgia

Rochester is doing questionable things. Georgia is doing playoff practice.

Vancouver vs San Diego

Pick – Vancouver

Even though San Diego has locked up second place,  Vancouver is on a mission.

Colorado vs Halifax

Pick – Halifax

Halifax wants to end on a high note.

Albany vs New York

Pick – New York

I really wants to play the last home game with a win.

Panther City vs Calgary

Pick – Panther City

Panther City has grit

Toronto vs Saskatchewan

Pick – Saskatchewan

too much is on the line for Saskatchewan.

Buffalo vs Las Vegas

Pick – Buffalo

Philadelphia vs Rochester

Pick – Philadelphia
