Another One Bites The Dust:

Atlanta Hawks coming into South Philly without their number-one superstar Tre Young, dealing with an illness. The Hawks looking for someone to step up and make up for their offensive production. However even though the Hawks played this Philadelphia 76ers team tough with guys like De’Andre dropping 24pts, Clint Capela giving Joel Embiid the fits in the paint putting up a double-double, and Bogdan Bogdanovic and Dejounte Murray both scoring 20pts. The 76ers bench did not play well yesterday (other than Kelly Oubre Jr.) The Hawks were down 11 points in the first quarter but then the Hawks started to build momentum against the 76ers bench.

Jo-Jo Says No-No:

Joel Embiid reminds the whole Atlanta Hawks team that the Wells Fargo center is his playground and he’s the Broad Street bully that runs it. Joel Embiid puts up 38 points with 14 rebounds. He did an amazing job of handling business inside the paint. At some point during this game. Joel Embiid gets a wide-open look from the three-point land and drains it in! Even in double coverage, Joel Embiid got aggressive and was still able to make his dunks with a clogged lane. You can see why Joel Embiid is looking to become back-to-back MVP. When he’s on the floor all he does is reflect pain and punishment to opposing defenses.

The Silent Assassin:

With everyone’s eyes on Joel Embiid with his production. Don’t forget about Tyreese Maxey, Joel Embiid’s counter punch. Lighting the scoreboard with 30 points is becoming the norm for Tyrese Maxey. He’s been in a catch-and-shoot mode tonight and if he’s not scoring with the ball then he was dishing the ball out to a teammate on the perimeter wide-open. His team chemistry with Joel Embiid is untouchable. No matter how hairy things get. When there on the floor together they can take over a game.
