Much back and forth on the Wentz trade. Is it a slap in the face to Jalen Hurts to have Nick Foles looking over his shoulder? Can the Birds get enough for a potential world-class Quarterback who is coming off a terrible season?
I have not seen the financial logistics but, a huge contract has been dumped. Not one single Eagle fan will ever openly say…” This team is rebuilding”
For the hardcore fans, nothing short of 16-0 is sufficient. The reality of the Super Bowl is three years in the rearview window. Doug Pederson, much like Dick Vermeil and Andy Reid are icons of a city that thrives for perfection.
We all had to know, like it or not, this team was moving on from Carson Wentz. Was the media anti-Wentz ink fabricated? Or was he a locker room cancer?
As for me, I would applaud the Nick Foles acquisition. Surely he was and has been told his role to mentor the kid. In the event “Philly Philly” Nick gets in games. He has proven that he will not hurt this team.
Now, where does Nate Sudfeld fit in? Will he be back? Doubtful he will get any offer from any other team… But, who knows?

New Coach, Nick Sirianni is a Jalen Hurts supporter and will give the kid the chance to prosper. Take it to the bank, Foles will be in the kid’s ear incessantly. But, isn’t that what he wants?
The draft is a key… can the Birds get a game breaker at the six spot? Or, will Howie Roseman Draft a one legged punter from Delaware County Community College?
Buckle up, get some nachos and an adult beverage this should be fun. The back and forth on the Wentz trade will be covered here.
