Bats Asleep for Philly

The bats stay asleep for the Philly, 5-2. Carlos Martinez went 7 1/3 innings allowing just 2 hits, 2 runs with only 1 earned, with 2 free passes and 4 strikeouts in stifling the Phillies offense.

Bryce Harper had two hits and JT Realmuto hit a sac fly. Didi Gregorious knocked in the second run on a ground that scored Realmuto who reached second on an error then took third on an errant pickoff attempt from Martinez.

Zach Eflin went 6 2/3 innings with 9 hits and 5 earned runs and 8 strikeouts. Philadelphia falls one game below .500 at 11-12.

Kevin branched out to his roots and currently provides insight for all Philadelphia teams for Edge of Philly as well as his full-time duties with LaxPhilly.
