Bryce Harper: "We need to have a sense of urgency"

We need to have a sense of urgency! Bryce Harper is 100% right. The NL East is a different kind of beast compared to past decades. The Phillies need to contend now while we have the core of our roster in their prime.

The Phillies have a very solid roster. Whether you’re talking about at the plate or on the mound they have what it takes to take that next step forward.

If it wasn’t for the bullpen last season the ‘Phightens’ would’ve been one of the best teams in all the league. I firmly believe that. 80% of their losses came in the 7th inning or later. We all saw it and can agree The Bullpen was trash.

Fortunately, that is not the case this upcoming season. Dave Dombrowski has stepped in and completely retooled our relief pitching. Trading for a couple of low risk/high reward veterans in Sam Coonrod and Jose Alvarado and the signing of top free-agent reliever, Archie Bradley.

Signing JT was a must. The resigning of DiDi was icing on the cake.

The Phillies are for certain going to be in the mix for the division. I have no doubt about that. We are gonna see some fireworks this season and what perfect timing to allow fans in the stands once again.
