Chaos faced the Archers in the second semi-final of the day.  Although Chaos had a rough year, they were peaking at the right time.

“We thought our advantage was that we knew the magnitude of the moments that were going to come throughout the game. We also know it’s who shows up for those 48 minutes next week.”

Chaos Goalie Blaze Riordan

The Archers had a dominant year led by Tom Schreiber, Marcus Holman, and Connor Fields.  Where the Archers have had trouble is at faceoffs.  Facing Max Adler will not be an easy task for Justin Inacio in this game either.

The goaltending match-up had Blaze Riordan in net for Chaos facing Adam Ghitelman in net for the Archers.

Although the Archers scored first, Chaos dominated the rest of the quarter with three straight goals.  Chaos never trailed the rest of the game enroute to a 9-7 win.  Chris Cloutier (3g), and Kyle Jackson (3g) led the way for Chaos, while Matt Moore (2g), and Marcus Holman (2g) were the top producers for the Archers.

To The Game:

Matt Moore opened the game’s scoring at 1:50, but was answered by Chris Cloutier just 0:46 seconds later to tie the game on a near impossible shot that beat Adam Ghitelman.

Josh Byrne gave Chaos the lead at 5:05, followed by Cloutier’s second of the game at 7:34.

After one quarter, Chaos 3 Archers 1.

Second Quarter:

Connor Fields scored 0:33 seconds in, but was answered by Cloutier’s third of the game on a great individual effort, running through the Archers defense at 3:27.

At the half,  Chaos 4 Archers 2.

Third Quarter:

Kyle Jackson increased the Chaos lead to three when he scored from his knees at 6:46.

Marcus Holman converted a pass from Tom Schreiber at 7:16, followed by Tre Leclaire with a laser in transition at 10:43.

Mac O’Keefe ran through the defense to cash in at 11:23, followed by Kyle Jackson scoring a buzzer beater at 11:59 to once again give Chaos a three goal lead heading to the fourth.

After three quarters, Chaos 7 Archers 4.

Fourth Quarter:

Marcus Holman opened the scoring for the Archers converting a Grant Ament pass at 1:36, but Dhane Smith answered back scoring off a Josh Byrne feed from the top of the crease at 3:28.

Matt Moore scored his second of the day for the Archers at 5:29, but a pumped up Kyle Jackson scored at 7:08 to keep the lead at three.

Tom Schreiber scored once more for the Archers with just 0:44 seconds left, but it was too little too late.

Final score, Chaos 9 Archers 7.
