About Nolan Smith

Nolan Smith is 6 ft 2 and 235 pounds and a Senior at the University of Georgia. In High School played all 15 of his High School games in his four years with a total of 88 tackles and 10.5 sacks, with an interception and a forced fumble. He attended IMG Academy and Calvary Day School in his Hometown of Savanah, Georgia. Nolan attended was also ranked 20th on 24/7 Early on, there were many comparisons to Kahlil Mack. As a senior, he was a first-team All-American by Max Preps.

He attended the University of Georgia. Nolan recorded 18 tackles in 11 games in his Freshman Year. In 2020 he played 10 games and had 22 tackles and a sack rating of 2.5. In his third season in 2021, he faced off against South Carolina in the first game. Smith had a career-high of 8 tackles and a forced fumble in the season opener. His final stats are astounding. Nolan had 40 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and one interception.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Nolan Smith’s strengths are that he plays like a leader and has a rare point-of-attack leverage strength for his size. Smith’s weaknesses weakness is not necessarily concerning. He has very average pursuit and needs work on controlling a block. These are definitely things that can be coached up.

The Eagles, like last year, another Georgia Bulldog, could make his dream come true on Draft Night. Not just that, but he could be a great fit for the Eagles come Draft Night. His fellow Bulldogs will make him feel right at home.
