CZW Presents Twisted Metal

CZW presents Disasterpiece: Twisted Metal this Saturday. This show by CZW will be unlike anything you have ever seen.   Twisted Metal will take place in Westville, NJ. The location is a junkyard. That’s right, CZW will be putting on a death match event live from an active junkyard in New Jersey. CZW has been known for its ultraviolence by hosting annual events such as the death match tournament, Tournament of Death, and the yearly installment of Cage of Death. For people not familiar with the Cage of Deaths, it’s like a cage match on steroids. With weapons such as barbwire, glass maybe even light tubes. Now that violence is notched up a couple of levels as it takes place in a junkyard.

In terms of the participants on the card this upcoming Saturday. CZW has some real heavy hitters in the death match scene with names such as SHLAK, Akira, Mickie Knuckles, along with reigning Tournament of Death winner Bobby Beverly. It’s unclear what will happen this coming Saturday. However, it’s an experience you don’t want to miss. I recently had the opportunity to sit down with DJ Hyde, owner of CZW, to discuss the upcoming event on Saturday. There was a specific question in mind for him. I was curious about the origin of this concept. While we are aware of CZW’s reputation for ultraviolence, I was interested in learning more about why this element was introduced.

“When I look at the death match scene it’s very over saturated it’s very overdone it’s all the same stuff. There are no stories or builds it’s just go out there and do stuff. Deathmatch isn’t special anymore. You saw Tony Khan do it on live tv for free.  Anybody can do it so what gives people a reason to come? I really believe in the environment. My goal is to make this an experience. This isn’t an arena it’s a Junkyard. It will be completely different. I wanted to create something that is completely different from anything else.”

Ken Broadway vs. AKIRA

The announcement of the match came as a surprise to some. Ken Broadway is preparing to enter the Junkyard to face off against the death match Samurai Akira. Ken Broadway, a prominent figure on the Indy wrestling scene, has not had as much experience in the world of deathmatch as his opponent. Akira is a seasoned professional in the death match arena, having established himself as one of the top wrestlers in the world within just six years. His reputation precedes him, with fans all over the globe recognizing him as one of the very best in the business.

Ken’s video package on Twitter has heightened the intensity of this match. Broadway made it clear to the Death Samurai that death is just an amenity where he is from. Akira did not take kindly to those words and replied with:

“You sealed your fate uttering the first sentence. If death is an amenity, then I’m your landlord in this world of glass, fire, and blood.   And Rent is due.”

Akira

It’s anyone’s guess how this match will unfold. However, one thing is certain – these two men will do everything in their power to emerge victorious and have their hand raised in victory this Saturday at the Junkyard.

Lucky 13 vs. SHLAK

This Saturday, two CZW veterans, Shlak and Lucky 13, will face off in an intense battle inside the Junkyard. Fans can expect to witness unforgettable moments during this match. Shlak, the man with the catchphrase no god, only Shlak will rely on his pure strength to win. Meanwhile, Lucky 13 will use his speed and agility to keep Shlak at a distance, leaving him grasping at the air.

Lucky is well-known for his love of performing high-risk moves in his matches. Fans can expect him to pull off an impressive high spot in his upcoming match to secure a win for himself. Shlak isn’t going to allow Lucky to land a high spot without a fight. If Shlak manages to catch Lucky, he will do everything in his power to inflict pain on him with whatever wild weapons are introduced to the Combat Zone Saturday. No matter which individual raises their hand this coming Saturday, both men will leave a part of themselves at the Junkyard in New Jersey.
