ROH World Television Championship

Samoa Joe has taken out every opponent put in front of him during this 400-plus reign as ROH World Television champion. There was no longer anyone left to challenge Joe for the belt. Due to this ROH put together a Television Championship Eliminator Tournament that took place over the past two weeks. With the winner getting a shot at Joe, at death before dishonor for the tv title.
On Thursday night Dalton Castle won the tournament securing the right to fight Joe at Death Before Dishonor. Dalton Castle is known for his over-the-top gimmick with the boys. However, when you ring the bell Dalton is one of the best pure wrestlers in the entire world. This bout between Joe and Castle will be a wild affair that will leave the fans on the edge of their seat. Dalton is an ex tv champion so it will be interesting to see if he can recapture the gold, or if Joe will continue to run rough shots over the entire ROH roster. The other interesting thing to keep an eye on in this match is the boys that accompany Castle to the ring, will they play any part in helping end the unstop run of Samoa Joe?

ROH World Championship Match

It is safe to say this match has been snake bitten every step of the way. Tony Khan has talked about in recent days, the original plan for this match was Eddie Kingston vs Claudio. Eddie was then selected by NJPW for the G1 and Tony the great boss he is, didn’t want to stop Eddie from achieving his dreams. ROH then announced Mark Briscoe would take on Claudio for the ROH title. Mark then suffered an injury that could keep him out of the ring.
That brought us to Wednesday Blood and Guts PAC walks out on BCC in the middle of the match, leaving them with a disadvantage. Post-match, Claudio was furious, stating he does not want to wait another week, and challenges PAC to a match on Death Before Dishonor. PAC quickly accepted the match setting up the title match for this event. These two wrestlers are two of the best in the world. This matchup has the chance to go down as one of the best wrestling matches to take place in 2023. This match could go either way. The one thing for sure is the fans will walk away the winners after watching this match.
Get to Trenton
ROH always delivers on its PPVs since Tony Khan has bought the company. Death Before Dishonor will be no different. Fans in the Philly and Trenton area need to get to the Cure Arena for the event Friday night. If you can’t get to the arena, be sure to check the event out live on BR Live and the new ROH streaming site. This event will be talked about for a long time coming.
