Did Howie just get a Colts mid-first rounder? Someone correct me if I’m wrong.
The trade with the Colts for Carson Wentz is for a 2021 third-round pick and a 2022 second-round pick that can turn into a 2022 first-round pick if Carson plays 75% of the snap or 70% of the snaps with a playoff birth.
That much we know.
Here is what I’m questioning. So, if the Colts make the playoffs or not as long as Carson plays 75% of the time the Eagles get the first-round pick? As long as Carson stays healthy and finishes the season regardless of a 1-16 record or a 16-1 record the Eagles get the pick?

If Carson comes out and plays like garbage for the Colts. Which very well could happen. Then that draft pick could be mid to high to first-rounder.
To be realistic, the Colts have a good team on both sides of the ball. The odds of them not making the playoffs are slim. However, IF they do miss out then the Eagles will be in line to snatch up their pick that may fall between 11-18. A third-round pick and a mid-first-round pick in 2022 for a Quarterback coming off his worst season yet and was in a pissing match the Eagles front office? Sign me up that any day of the week.
That is how it all breaks down to me with the info we have. If that is the case, are we back to ‘In Howie we Trust’? But again, correct me if I’m wrong.
