The reeling Drexel Dragons (13-17) went into Wilmington, North Carolina to face the University of North Carolina Wilmington (10-20) with the Seahawks pounding out a dominating second half by putting up 47 points.
UNCW went on several runs in the second to seal the deal. Spurts of 15-4 and 14-4 proved to be too much of an obstacle for the Dragons to overcome.
Despite having only 10 wins, the victory was the third consecutive for the Seahawks.
A 67.9 shooting percentage in the second half kept the visitors at bay with Shykeim Phillips posting 20 points on 7 for 11 shooting.
