Eagles Trade Up, Select DB Cooper DeJean

Going into Day 2 of the NFL Draft the Philadelphia Eagles had pick 50 and 53. Howie flipped those picks and a 5th (161) with the Washington Commanders to move up to pick 40 selecting DB Cooper DeJean. He also added pick 78 (3rd Round) and pick 152 (5th round).

Cooper DeJean was Pro Football Focus #8 ranked prospect overall. He can play outside, in the slot or even Safety which makes him a perfect fit for Vic Fangio’s defense. Cooper has amazing size and footwork. He is also labeled as a ballhawk that can also stop the run. Quarterbacks had a passer rating of 37.8 when throwing against him this past season.

The Eagles also traded the 78th pick to the Houston Texans for pick 86 and pick 123. Stay tuned to Edge of Philly Sports for live draft coverage through the rest of Day 2.
