Eagles vs Cowboys Week 7 Preview

Oh the day is here my friends! The Philadelphia Eagles square off against the Dallas Cowboys tonight on the road. Kickoff scheduled for 8:20 PM with the Cowboys favored to win by 3 points! Both teams have been the definition of inconsistent and slow starts but this week the winner will have sole possession of first place in the NFC East.

Eagles Offense vs Cowboys Defense
The Cowboys defense though basically the same personnel is just not the same as last year. They are still top ten but you can move the ball on them as they give up 330 yards per game. The Eagles offense averages about 350 yards per game and 26.8 points per game. Desean Jackson will not play but the story remains the same with the Eagles. As bad as they have played to the eye they are few caught passes away from being 5-1 with Carson Wentz looking like an MVP candidate. Receivers could get some more separation but ultimately it comes down to the drops (17). Sunday night if everyone does their job the Eagles should be able to move down the field.

Eagles Defense vs Cowboys Offense
The blueprint for other teams that have had success against Dallas is simple. Make Dak beat you! Fortunately for Dallas, the Eagles secondary has been a revolving door win or lose so this game really will come down to Dak Prescott. The Eagles get Jalen Mills and Ronald Darby back which will help but let’s not act like this is Sheldon Brown and Lito Sheppard coming back tonight. Both Cowboy tackles and Amari Cooper will play tonight but they are certainly not 100%. Dak will have to beat the Eagles and it is up to this defense to step up and make plays for the Eagles to Win.

Prediction
Eagles 37 Cowboys 17 – As I said, this game falls on Dak Prescott and I think he falls on his face. The defensive line should get enough pressure with Mills and Darby back and I can’t believe I am saying this but possibly some swagger back as well. The receivers will make plays tonight and the Eagles win.

Let’s be clear though even if I am wrong. DALLAS SUCKS! Especially their fans!
