Hawks Lose Holy War, 78-73

The Saint Louis Billikens (17-5) came to the Hagen Arena to take on the St. Joseph’s Hawks (4-18).

Saint Louis came in on a three game win streak and received a career game from Javonte Perkins who stole the show and the game.

Perkins shot 9 of 19 from the floor and 13 of 14 from the free throw line en route to a career high 33 points for the Billikens.

Hasahn French threw in a double double off a 12 point 13 rebound game.

Yuri Collins stepped up for 11 points with Demarius Jacobs burning the Hawks with 16.

Perkins went on a six point run to give the visitors a 71-62 edge with only 4:00 remaining.

For the Hawks, the always reliable, Brian Daly also had a career day, posting a personal high of 35 points.

The main issue was that no other St. Joe player put up more than 8 points in the defeat.
