The Philadelphia Eagles kicked off 1 of their 2 6th Round picks selecting Florida St Wide Receiver, Johnny Wilson. Wilson is 6’6″, 231 pounds brining a ton of size to the wide receiver room. He ran a 4.52 forty yard bash time but some think he will likely be moved to tight end at the NFL level.

There also seems to be issues with dropping routine passes along with a bad route tree. He will likely struggle to find separation at the NFL level. Nick Sirianni was originally a wide receiver coach who gives extreme attention to detail so maybe he can help refine some of the technique issues.

Johnny Wilson drew comps to Harold Carmichael when ESPN announced the pick due to his rare size and athleticism. Harold, however, was 2 feet taller at 6’8″. Carmichael was also a late 7th round pick, 161 overall going on to become arguably the greatest receiver in Eagles history and NFL Hall of famer.
