Hershey Blanks Lehigh Valley, 3-0

The Hershey Bears (17-10-2-3) sitting in third place in the Atlantic Division of the American Hockey League, flexed their muscles and took a 3-0 decision from the hometown, Lehigh Valley Phantoms (12-15-1-4) who hold the last spot in the Atlantic.

A scoreless first stanza revealed the Hershey dominance as they outshot the Phantoms, 13-6.

All the action was reserved for the middle stanza and the Bears supplied the goals.

Joe Snively nailed his 9th and Garret Pilon(6) followed by Brian Pinho’s 6th was more than enough to do away with Lehigh Valley.

Neither team lit the lamp in the final period and Parker Miner (Bears netminder) had a 19 save shutout.

Alex Lyon has much more work in the Phantoms net a turned in a 35 save performance.
