Elsa Radochonski (2g) countered but Rudy had a response. Kayla DeRose (1g) and Lilly Curry (1g) with :05 on the clock, closed the half at Denver looking at a 6-4 deficit.
At 25:18 Grozier made it 7-4. Denver had fight in them with Lily Montemarano (1g) and Kaitlyn Conry (1g,1a) made it a one-goal game at 7-6. The stage was set for a wild finish. Unfortunately for Denver, they didn’t get invited.
Morgan Pence (2g) and Radochonski offset each other and Colorado turned up the heat and scored the next six thanks to Zoe Lawless, Grozier, another from Lawless, Morgan Pence, Rudy, and finally, Lawless with her 6th of the season to close out the 14-7 score. A huge second half creates an upset.
