In Case You Missed It

12 teams get back to work tonight. Locally the Sixers start their run for the playoffs against the Nets (TNT 8 PM)  while the first place Bucks take on Detroit.

I see Philly making a run can they get out of the East?  I think they make it to the conference finals and fall to Milwaukee
In the West, I think its Denver and the Lakers ( NOT the Clippers) . with the Lakers squeezing a 7 game victory
Then: Bucks in 7 to win the NBA title

Being a team many thinks can win it continued to be bad luck last evening as #6 Duke was crushed by NC State 88-66.
#11 Louisville righted the ship after an awful previous week blowing out Syracuse 90-66
Locally #12 Villanova manhandled Depaul 91-71
#13 Auburn was upset by Georgia 65-55
#16 Seton Hall got by #21 Butler 74-72

The early fight of the year takes place this Saturday in Las Vegas.  The odds in Vegas are literally even with BOTH Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury being listed at -110
I like Fury which to me would still be a mild upset

The league continues to try and exploit their employees for the sake of more money. It looks like 14 teams will now make the playoffs starting as early as next year. Also, the talk of a 17 game regular season could begin in 2021. The beating these players take is not worth this. The NFL is the most popular sport in the world. Why tweak it? If you are going to add playoff games, decrease the regular season or at the very lease extend the rosters dressing 58.

In news off the field: Ex-Browns tackle Greg Robinson is in a Texas Jail after being caught with 157 pounds of weed. he and two friends if convicted are facing up to 20 years in prison

The Astros continue to show no shame to what transpired. MLB has fumbled this almost to the point of no return. Forget what I or any of the media thinks. I look st the reaction of the players and can see this is a problem not going away . in the words of Carpenters “It’s only just begun”

Roger Federer is out of the French Open due to Knee Surgery
Turd in the punchbowl as we fall to 5-3 for the week ( Still winning )
But I hate a negative night. We will do better picks later

Enjoy your Thursday!
