NBA:
The players get back to work on Thursday but there was some news off the court as John Beilen is out after a very short stay in Cleveland. It was a disaster from the start. Associate Head Coach JB Bickerstaff will assume the head coaching duties effective immediately. The Cars are buried in the Eastern Conference Basement to start the second half.
NHL: Locally the Flyers had a big win over Columbus 5-1. Travis Konecny had a goal and two assists as Carter Hart continued to play well at home. The win puts the Flyers in sole possession of 5th place in the East. It was a light schedule around the rest of the league with the pens, Wings, Senators, and Hurricanes all coming out on top.
