A battle of the top teams in the PLL had Chrome (4-1) facing Atlas (4-1) in a Friday night showdown.
Although Atlas got out to a commanding 11-6 lead at the half, a 6-1 third quarter tied the game heading to the fourth. Both teams had chances, with Jack Concannon (in net for Atlas) and Sean Sconone (goalie for Chrome) coming up big for their respective teams. With just 1:21 left, Jeff Teat buried a shot to the far corner for the Atlas victory.

To The Game:
Atlas started quick in this game with Bryan Costabile converting a Jeff Teat pass at just 0:43 seconds to take a quick lead, but Dylan Molloy tied it up for Chrome at 2:16.
Eric Law put Atlas in front once more when he finished off a Chris Gray pass at 6:58, followed by Danny Logan firing a 2 point goal from beyond the arc at 8:09.
John Ranagan scored in transition for Chrome off a long lead pass from goalie Sean Sconone at 8:27.
After one quarter, Atlas 4 Chrome 2.
Second Quarter:
Danny Logan scored his second of the game off a Chris Gray pass at 0:14 seconds, followed by Jeff Teat converting an Eric Law pass at 1:21 to open up a 6-2 Atlas lead.
Jordan MacIntosh cut into the lead with a 2 point goal at 5:38, followed by Logan Wisnauskas converting a Dylan Molloy pass at 6:29. Cade van Raaphorst added a 2 point goal for Atlas off a Trevor Baptiste feed, followed by Eric Law off a Danny Logan pass at 6:55.
Chris Gray scored the next two for Atlas to take a commanding 11-5 lead, but Logan Wisnauskas scored just before halftime to cut into the lead.
At the half, Atlas 11 Chrome 6.
Third Quarter:
Bryan Costabile scored his second of the game on the power play off a Chris Gray pass at 3:22, but the rest of the quarter was all Chrome.
Dylan Molloy started the comeback, scoring off a Logan Wisnauskas feed at 5:54, followed by Wisnauskas himself scoring at 7:20 for his third of the game.
Brendan Nichtern scored next for Chrome at 8:10, followed by Jackson Morrill converting a Colin Heacock pass at 10:15. Mike Messenger continued the comeback converting an Eli Salama pass at 10:32, followed by Jordan MacIntosh’s second of the game at 11:29 to tie the game.
After three quarters, Atlas 12 Chrome 12.
Fourth Quarter:
A much more defensive quarter had the teams only trade one goal each near the end of the quarter. Jake Carraway gave Atlas the lead at 8:39, but Chrome again tied it up with Logan Wisnauskas scoring his fourth of the game at 9:16.
Jeff Teat scored for Atlas with just 1:21 left to seal the deal, giving Chrome their first loss of the season.
Final score, Atlas 14 Chrome 13.

- Trevor Baptiste won the faceoff battle going 16 of 25 for Atlas, while Connor Farrell went 12 of 23 for Chrome.

Gary Groob has been involved with Lacrosse for the majority of his life, whether playing, coaching, or covering the sport for the media.
An avid fan, with a real drive about helping to “grow the game”, Gary became part of podcasts about the game in 2010. Through the podcasts, Mr. Groob was given an opportunity to write about lacrosse, and the rest as they say, is history.
Through many miles (flying and driving) Gary has made inroads with the National Lacrosse League, Major Series Lacrosse League, the Ontario Lacrosse Association, as well as the Arena Lacrosse League, covering the leagues, their teams, and players, working for, and in concert with all of them.
In the year 2020, Mr. Groob was made the media person for the Arena Lacrosse League, voted onto the board of directors of the Brampton Excelsiors Lacrosse Club, as well as being made administrator of the Lacrosse page “Global Lacrosse” with a membership of 9000 members in over 90 Countries. Gary was also made an administrator of Lacrosse History Past Present and Future in 2022.
Mr. Groob co-hosts a weekly Lacrosse show on Spanglish Sports World, and ZingoTV channel 250, as well as writes a weekly lacrosse column for La Portada Canada News (both in print, and online).
Gary also hosts a Lacrosse talk show and podcast for The Edge of Philly Sports Network, seen live Sunday nights at 9pm (ET), and archived on the Edge of Philly YouTube page, as well as Spotify.
Mr. Groob’s other sports interests include Hockey, Football, Boxing, Wrestling, and Baseball, competing competitively in Boxing and Wrestling for many years.
