Kenny McIntosh Could Be a Day 2 Gem

The Eagles are on day two of the NFL Draft and could be looking to find some offensive pieces to help Jalen Hurts. Howie and the Eagles’ offense had to move on from Miles Sanders. Key returning backs include Kenny Gainwell and Boston Scott. The often-injured Rashad Penny was signed during free agency. But the one guy who could be a good fit for the Eagles is Georgia Bulldogs running back Kenny McIntosh.

About Kenny McIntosh

McIntosh is 6 ft and 210 pounds and a Senior at the University of Georgia. In his rookie season, Kenny had to be a doormat to running backs like D’Andre Swift and James Cook, to name a few. During the shortened covid season in 2020, he rushed for 251 Yards in his Sophomore Season. He was third behind James Cook and Zamir White.

The next season during his Junior year, McIntosh made it clear that he would be something special. In the SEC Championship Game and the two playoff games, he ran for 328 Yards and 3 Touchdowns. All this on his way to a National Championship for the Bulldogs’ first time since 1980, beating the Alabama Crimson Tide in January of 2022.

In his Senior Season, he led the team with 829 yards on 150 rushing attempts. In the Chic Fil A Peach Bowl, he had eight carries and was named SEC All-Third Team, according to the SEC writers association. He was also able to capture another National Championship in a whomping 65-7 victory over TCU.

Strengths & Weaknesses

McIntosh ran with better consistency, a huge burst to clear the line of scrimmage, and has pure speed. He has average recognition, but that can be developed. For the Eagles and Howie Rosem, when they are looking for offensive help for Jalen Hurts, Kenny McIntosh could be a very good fit for the Eagles on day two of the NFL Draft.
