Lady Dragons breathe fire besting Elon, 65- 59. The #3 Ranked Drexel Lady Dragons (12-8) used a big start to defeat the Elon Phoenix (7-8), in a Quarterfinal tilt in the CAA.

The always dependable, Hannah Nihill stole the spotlight. Nihill racked up 24 points, 5 assists, 4 steals and nailing 5 three pointers. Keishana Washington and Kate Connelly each chipped in with 13 points with Connelly’s all coming in the break-out first half. The Lady Dragons never trailed and put up an impressive 11-0 run.

The Phoenix would later answer with a 9-2 run to cut the deficit to 21-16. Drexel had the lead at the half, 39-33 and were on top of their shooting game going 10 of 19 from three point land. Drexel moves on to face James Madison on Friday afternoon.

A published writer in JustHockey Magazine, Kevin covered the American Hockey League as well as a monthly story on a pugilist where Kevin used the pen name, The Rink Rat. Neibauer turned his attentions to lacrosse for a few years and does his part, whether podcasting or writing to grow the game. Kevin branched out to his roots and currently provides insight for all Philadelphia teams for Edge of Philly as well as his full-time duties with LaxPhilly.
