Lady Owls corral Lady Wildcats in 17-2 victory. After taking a 12-0 lead at the half, The Temple Lady Owls (2-0) cruised to a 17-2 victory over the Villanova Lady Wildcats (1-1) at Temple University.
Temple was led by Belle Mastropietro who accounted for seven points with a game-high six goals. Meghan Hoffman helped out with four goals and five points. The Owls also had contributions from Bridget Whitaker (3g,1a), and MacKenzie Roth (2g,1a).
Shana Hecht didn’t see much action in the Temple nets and turned aside 8 shots and allowed 2 goals. This game was the first of a six-game homestand for Temple and shattered the Villanova three-game win streak against Temple. Lady Owls corral Lady Wildcats in 17-2 victory.
