1990 MILL Championship game between the Philadelphia Wings and the New England Blazers
The Philadelphia Wings headed into the Centrum Arena in Worcester, Massachusetts to face the Blazers hoping to become the first back to back champions in MILL history.
The Wings were stacked on offense with Scott Gabrielson, Todd Currie, Brad Kotz, and Andy Wilson.
New England also had a potent offense with “Captain” John Fay, Toby Boucher, and Tom Carmean.
Both teams finished the year with 6-2 records. The Blazers had won six straight games heading into this game (winning the league regular season standings on a tie break with the Wings).
Philadelphia got into the championship game with a hard fought, one goal win against the New York Saints the previous week.
The Wings had All-Star Dwight Maetche in goal, while the Blazers started John Yeager in net, later using Dan O’Neill also.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy this game in it’s entirety.
