Maryland Ladies Hold off Michigan

Maryland ladies hold off Michigan, 17-13. Two top-ranked teams squared off Women’s D1 action at College Park, Maryland. The #10 Maryland Terrapins held on in a score fest to defeat the #17 Michigan Wolverines in Friday action.

Maryland (1-1) was powered with an offensive output featuring, Hannah Leubecker. She found the back of the Michigan net 7 times. Grace Griffin added two goals and two helpers with Hannah Warther banging a hat trick. Carrie May and Libby May tacked on two goals each with stand out, Brindi Griffin tacking on a goal and an Apple.

Michigan battled the whole way with a four-goal contest from Nadine Stewart who was aided by Kaitlyn Mead and Caitlyn Muir who each nabbed a pair of goals and an assist in defeat. Maryland ladies hold off Michigan, 17-13.
