National Lacrosse League (NLL) Retro Game Of The Week

A big thanks to Dallas Eliuk for originally posting this game on his YouTube channel.

February 24th, 2001 and the Buffalo Bandits visit the Philadelphia Wings at the First Union Center, in regular season action.

Philadelphia was looking for revenge after losing 26-18 to the Bandits a month previous.

The teams were tied for 2nd place both with 5-2 records at the halfway point of the season, and were looking to get a leg up on eachother.

Both squads were tough, and talented, setting the stage for a barnburner of a game.

Buffalo had John Tavaras, Shawn Williams, Pat Maddalena, and Mike Accursi.

Philadelphia countered with Jeff Ratcliffe, Tom Marechek, Jake Bergey, and Kevin Finneran.

Phil Wetherup was in the net for Buffalo, while Dallas Eliuk was tending goal for the Wings.

There’s no love lost between these two teams, and with playoff implications?!?!

Sit back, relax, and enjoy this game in it’s entirety!
