NLL 1998 Championship Series Game 2 Philadelphia @ Baltimore

April 28, 1998 Baltimore Arena – The Wings look to win the National Lacrosse League Title in Game 2 in the best-of 3 Championship Series.

These teams finished one, two in the league standings this year, and it was only fitting that they would play eachother for the championship.

The Wings with their power offense of Steve Govett, Jake Bergey, Kevin Finneran, Scott Gabrielsen, Chris Flynn, and Peter Jacobs were looking to sweep the best of three series after winning game one in Philadelphia 16-12.

Baltimore countered with Gary Gait, Jeff Klodzen, Chris Panos, Paul Cantabene, Bob Martino, and Tom Ryan to try and bring the series back to the Spectrum in Philadelphia for game three.

The goalie match-up was Dallas Eliuk for the Wings vs. Derek Collins for the Thunder.

The coaching match-up was John Tucker vs. Tony Resch.  These two had much different styles with Resch running three set lines, while Tucker would take the freshest five players continuously throughout the game.

Let’s see which style would prevail!

Sit back, relax, and enjoy this game in it’s entirety.
