The Portland Lumberjax enter their sophomore year in the National Lacrosse League by hosting the Buffalo Bandits for their home opener (dated Dec 30, 2006).

The Bandits are loaded with offensive weapons led by John Tavares, while Brodie Merrill was tasked to shut down that potent Bandit offense.

It’s a game of chess between head coaches Darris Kilgour for the Bandits, and Derek Keenan for the Lumberjax.

LumberJax Goaltender Dallas Eliuk continues to dominate at the ripe old age of 42, while the Bandits were without Steve Dietrich who just had arthroscopic surgery, so Mike Thompson took over in net.

Another nail-biter finish!

Sit back, relax, and enjoy this game in it’s entirety.
