January 15, 2000…

The “New Team” Pittsburgh Crossfire visited Rochester in the War Memorial.

An early season match-up has two high powered offenses going at it, making for an entertaining game.

The Pittsburgh Crossefire were an exciting, high scoring team with the likes of Gary Gait, Paul Gait, Neil Doddridge, and Joe Hiltz.

The Rochester Knighthawks countered with a powerhouse lineup…Curt Malawsky, Cory Bomberry, Tim Soudan, Casey Powell, Dan Teat, Rusty Kruger, and John Grant Jr.

The Crossefire lost the previous evening to Albany, 21-19, but won convincingly in week one with a 23-12 win against the New York Saints, showing in both games what an explosive team they were offensively.

This was Pittsburgh’s only year in the league, coming from Baltimore (Thunder), then moving to Washington (Power), which would eventually become the Colorado Mammoth.

Sit back, relax, and enjoy this game in it’s entirety.
