NFC East Showdown: Eagles vs Commanders

Philadelphia Eagles just got by this Washington Commanders. The Commanders are looking to seek revenge after losing in week 4 and going back to that game. The Commanders also took the Eagles down to the wire in that game, with the Eagles winning 34-31. This time, the Commanders were ready to go from the gates and held the lead in the football game until the 4th quarter. The Eagles would stay in the fight throughout the game and battle back for the win. The Washington Commanders haven’t won a home game since they beat the Arizona Cardinals on opening weekend.

Quarterback Clinic

This was a display of excellent quarterback play. Sam Howell looked to have things going well with his quick releases throughout the game. With his quick releasees and Eric Bieniemy combination, they picked apart the Eagle’s secondary on the Commander’s first touchdown drive. Sam Howell would find Terry McLaurin for a 26-year-old TD pass.

Sam Howell had 39 completions for 397 yards, 4 TDs, and 1 interception. It was not a bad day at the office. Sam Howell has been the only QB to put 31pts on the Eagles defense. Sam Howell did a great job spreading the ball around with Terry McLaurin, Jamison Crowder, and Jahan Dotson. Jalen Huts had a great game as well. Jalen Hurts also extended his playbook, getting Devonta Smith involved in the playbook. Devonta Smith had a big day with 99 yards. Devonte Smith had that one play where the Commanders did not guard him, and he was left all alone for a touchdown pass. He found the great Julio Jones in the endzone for a touchdown catch.

MVP?

AJ Brown does it it again. He set an NFL record for having 125-plus receiving yards. AJ Brown Has has become Jalen Hurts Security blanket. He makes a one-handed touchdown catch to set the tone for the Eagles, and then, of course, a little later, he makes a huge endzone catch.

Whether he is in single or double coverage, it doesn’t matter. His speed, size, and strength make him are to defend. Opposing defenses have a tough time because AJ Brown and Devonte Smith can strengthen the field. AJ Brown could go down as a Philadelphia Eagles’ top 5 wide receiver of all time. When I go back and think about it, this has been one of the Eagle’s best trades ever. Because as an Eagles, AJ Brown is paying dividends
