Nittany Lions are getting hot. The Penn State Nittany Lions (5-6) picked up their second consecutive B1G Conference win with an 81-78 defeat of Northwestern (6-8).
A back and forth affair that yielded no fewer than 18 lead changes. The Wildcats miss what would have the game-tying three-pointer as time expired.
The Lions had balanced scoring led by Izaiah Brockingon’s 21 points, they also got contributions from Seth Lundy and Myreon Jones 16 and 12 for the duo. Sam Sessons threw in 12.
The Wildcats were led by Miller Koop who banged home 19. Boo Buie added 18 and Pete Nance followed with 17.
