“Muffler” Mike Kostiuk:
LV @ PCLC
PCLC. The Desert Dogs will have some growing pains this season. Panther City will capitalize on that.
SASK @ SD
Saskatchewan. Both teams won last week, but the Rush’s win looked much more impressive. I think they take that momentum and attitude into San Diego and steal an important early road win.
TOR @ ROC
Toronto. The Knighthawks will keep this game closer than some would have believed before last week. But last week Toronto firmly seized the title of “team you probably shouldn’t bet against this season”.
VAN @ CGY
Calgary. Make no mistake, the Warriors are embarrassed by last week’s performance. Unfortunately, the Roughnecks will make sure they won’t get to right the ship this week.
Shawn Slaght:
Las Vegas vs Panther City
Pick – Panther City
The first time we get to see both these teams this year. I really feel like Panther City is going to ride the momentum they built up at the end of next season. Las Vegas isn’t going to be a horrible team, but there will be growing pains as an expansion franchise.
Saskatchewan vs San Diego
Pick – San Diego
Game of the week hands down. Can an aging Seals team keep up with the Rush’s youth? Or, will the veteran San Diego squad exploit the young guns? I think this will be close, but experience will win out in the end.
Toronto vs Rochester
Pick – Toronto
This will be a good measuring stick for Rochester. Can the Knighthawks hang with the big dogs? We’ll find out. I think either way the juggernaut Rock squad comes out on top.
Vancouver vs Calgary
Pick – Calgary
I simply have this one down to goaltending. Calgary will try to bombard Vancouver with the transition game and the Warriors will need timely saves, and I just don’t think they’ll get it from Steve Fryer.
Gary Groob:
Las Vegas Desert Dogs vs. Panther City Lacrosse Club
Panther City Wins.
Shawn Williams has put together a good group, bit I’m still on the fence on the goaltending. Panther City is going to be a force this year.
Saskatchewan Rush vs. San Diego Seals
Saskatchewan wins.
This is a huge test for the rebuilt Rush, but I think they are up to the task. A very young, quick team will keep the pace fast hoping to tire the Seals out in the second half. This will be a barn burner of a game!
Toronto Rock vs. Rochester Knighthawks
Toronto wins.
A much improved Knighthawks squad will give the Rock all they can handle, but the smooth, cohesive Toronto team will be able to find the path to victory. This will be a good measuring stick for the young Knighthawks team.
Vancouver Warriors vs. Calgary Roughnecks
Calgary wins.
Vancouver didn’t look good at all in most aspects of the game last week vs. Toronto. This week will be no different. The Calgary offense will click on the Warriors, while Christian Del Bianco will be sharp in net for the Roughnecks.
John Craig:
Las Vegas vs Panther City
LV as Shawn Williams brings em a show stopper from Vegas!
Rush vs Seals
All RUSH all day…. Maybe 21 12……he he he
Rock vs Knighthawks
Rock roll in this tilt!
Warriors vs Roughnecks
Roughnecks in there barn which is not an easy place to play.
Ryan McMichael:
Las Vegas vs. PCLC
PCLC wins
Saskatchewan vs. San Diego
SD wins
Toronto vs. Rochester
Toronto wins
Vancouver vs. Calgary
Calgary wins
