Dolans Bar

Marquette started fast with markers from Shea Garcia (1g) and Madison Kane (1g,1g) but Nova had the answer when Libby McKenna (3g,1a) and Olivia Piccirilli (1g,1a) knotted it up with 14:39 left in the half. Megan Menzuber (1g,1a) pushed the Eagles to a 3-2 edge.

It would stay that way for thirteen minutes before Brittany Bruno (1g) would close the 3-3 half. Katie Comerford (2g) scored at 27:41 and Villanova took the lead that lasted for just over two minutes before Caroline Stellar (1g) knotted it up again. Lindsey Hill (1g,2a) followed by Hannah Greving (2g) gave Marquette a two-goal edge at 6-4.

McKenna bagged her 23rd but Madison Kane (1g,1a) quickly answered. McKenna (24th) and Comerford (17th) put it back in a familiar place… tied up at 7-7. Greving (17th) found rope with 4:54 to play and Marquette was able to shut down Villanova and take the 8-7 victory.
