Offense a No-Show in Defeat

The Phillies‘ offense was a no-show in 6–1 defeat. Zack Wheeler went 6 innings giving up just four hits was a tough-luck loser to the Cincinnati Reds, 6–1.


Joey Votto supplied the difference with a three-run homer but, Nick. Castellanos complimented with a solo shot and Eugenia Suarez belted a two-run shot to supply all the offense the Reds would need. Didi Gregorius had an RBI double for the Phils.

After an impressive eight-game win streak, Philadelphia has now dropped three of its last four. The Phillies’ offense was a no-show in defeat.
