The Philadelphia Wings took on the Georgia Swarm Saturday morning at the Wells Fargo Center. Philly loses 12-13 to Georgia due to one bad missed call. Wings with a turnover breakaway. No luck there. Joe Resetaritis makes a goal through traffic.

The Back and Forth
The Wings get the first powerplay from a Swarm slash. Both defenses play tough man-to-man coverage. Georgia answers back with a goal from number 4, Lyle Thompson. Blaze Riorden makes a diving goal. The Wings had two breakaway attempts in the first quarter.
Mitch Jones finds Sam LeClair across the offense zone wide-open for a goal. Then Lyle Thompson would answer back. Mitch Jones getting creative with Joe Resetarits. Good ball movement. However, with a wide-open look, Mitch Jones put the Wings ahead.
Again the dynamic duo of Joe Resetartis and Mitch Jones cuts through Georgia’s defense. That left Curtin wide open in front of the net. Wings go on a powerplay from Joe Resetarits. Wings’ first trip to the penalty box was by number 9 Trevor Baptiste for slashing. Mitch Jones (1G 4A 2g 3a) had ten points between the two in the first half.
Seth Oakes for Georgia Swarm ties up the game by finding the back of the net between two defenders. Lyle Thompson was becoming a pest for the Wings’ defense. He finds Andrew Kew open for a powerplay goal. Just when things were looking rough. Ben Mclntosh finds Joe Resetartis wide open. Zach Miller scores for the Swarm, but Chad Tutton ties it up for the Wings.

Lyle Thompson was just on fire for the Swarm. Just getting aggressive on offense and buries a goal. Then Andrew Kew with a quick release. Mitch Jones playing QB and finding Blaze Riorden. Blaze Riorden is right back on the scoreboard. Lyle Thompson goes for the goal, and Seth Oakes gets the rebound and puts the Swarm up 11-10. Shayne Jackson takes advantage of the miscue on the Wings’ defense.
One Bad Miss Call
Just when Georgia’s offense is about to go up with a goal. The Wings challenge the play of Zach Miller, saying he was in the crease. However, the goal stands. Losing a nail-biter. Missing a bad call as Mitch Jones takes a slash to the head. Lyle Thompson overall was solid for the Swarm 4 goals, and five assists were too much for the Wings to handle.
