Orlando Works Magic, 98-97

The Philadelphia 76ers (23-11) riding a high after dismantling the Milwaukee Bucks, visited the Orlando Magic (14-17) in hopes of building off the jubilation.

In a game that leaves Sixers fans cursing and shaking their heads, Orlando withstood a furious Philadelphia rally to lay claim to a 98-97 upset victory.

Joel Embiid had a chance to win it at the buzzer but his near half court desperation shot missed its mark and the clock hit all zeros.

The game was the first of a four game road trip for the Philly boys and ended their three game win streak.

Embiid was his usual dominant self and poured in 24 points and nabbed 11 boards to score his 17th double double in his last 19 games.

Ben Simmons saw his three game double double streak end but put up 13 points and secured 9 rebounds.

Tobias Harris played a strong game with a 24 point, 11 rebound contest.

Josh Richardson banged in 15 points in the loss.

Orlando had balanced scoring and received double doubles from Nikola Vucevic (16 points, 12 boards) and Aaron Gordon with 19 pts. and 11 rebounds.

Evan Fournier drained 20 points with Terrance Ross adding 17 points and former Sixer, Markelle Fultz adding 13 points.
