Overtime Drama in ALL East

In Arena League East, the Paris RiverWolves (5-4) worked overtime to defeat the St. Catherine’s Shockwave (4-6), 11-10.

Let’s Get to It

St.Catherine’s fired out of the gate, grabbing a 4-0 lead.

Caleb Wiles (2g,3a) started the party at 14:08 converted feeds from Alex Kedoh-Hill and Marty Hill (1a).

It took three minutes for Kedoh-Hill (3g,1a) to get it to 2-0 with help from Wiles and Ciaran Costello (1a).

The surge grew to 3-0 with Kedoh-Hill adding a second with 7:26 remaining.

Anthony Patterson (2g,1a) continued the run with 4:29 to play

Cole Spear (1g,3a) ended the run on a power play tally set up by Davis Prince and Kyle Dawson.

That brought and end to the opening stanza with the Shockwave in front, 4-1.

Moving Right Along

Kedoh-Hill struck again, this time on the advantage followed 3:14 later with Wayne Hill (2g,2a) lighting the lamp short handed.

Paris countered with a three goal run from another man up,this one from Kyle Dawson (1g,2a),Justin Scott (5g, 2a) set up by Eddie Renaud and Spear.

Dawson turned play marker for a Davis Prince (1g,5a) goal that made it 6-4.

The special teams were in full force with Oakley Thomas (1g) hitting short handed to end the half with a 7-4 Shockwave advantage

Moving Along Still

Justin Scott for Paris and Caleb Wiles answered for the Shockwave, both on the advantage changed the board to 8-5.

The RiverWolves closed the quarter very strong courtesy of Kurtis Woodland (1g, 3a) and Scott and Spear hitting a breaking Eddie Renaud (2g, 1a) to take us to the Fourth with a one goal St. Catherine’s lead, 8-7.

This One is a Battle

Wiles and Jake Bomberry (2a) did the work and Patterson enjoyed the dividend to make it 9-7 with 6:57 remaining.

The RiverWolves were not about to pack up and leave.

A pair from Scott and a single from Renauld set the Wolves up with 3:07 left.

Patterson with help from Leland Powless (1a) set up Wayne Hill with 2:03 to go

That would end the scoring in regulation.

A back and forth overtime would be ended when Scott buried a transition goal started by netminder, Troy Holowchuk at 10:00.

Dis and Dat.

• Shots on Goal were 57-51 for Paris.

• Troy Holowchuk stopped 41 shots for Paris with Chase Martin turning aside 46.

• Power plays had Paris hitting on 3 of 4 and the ShockWave a perfect 2 for 2.
