Owls Lose to Pirates, 67-63

The Temple Owls (14-13) made a road trip to the Minges Coliseum to battle the East Carolina Pirates (11–17) on Sunday evening.

The shooting game was dismal for the visitors who went 22/62 from the field (35.5%), 6 for 24 (25%) from three point land and only 13 of 26 (50%) from the line.

Quinton Rose dropped 15 points with James Scott helping out with 12.

The Pirates were not much better with a 39.7% from the field, off of a 23 of 58 performance.

Their three pointers went at 26.7% due to a 4 for 15.

The difference maker was from the line. ECU dropped 17 of 24 (70.8%) to seal the 67-63 victory.

The Pirates were led with a double double from Jayden Garner’s 29 point, 13 boards output.

JJ Miles added 11 points with Tristen Newton helping out with 10.

ECU has the edge in rebounds, 41-37.
