Phantoms Drop a Tough One, 2-1

The Lehigh Valley Phantoms (23-25-8) went to Syracuse to challenge the 26-22-8 Crunch on Saturday evening.

Carsten Twarynski spoiled the shut out bid of Syracuse netminder, Spencer Martin was just :53 remaining to get the Phantoms within one goal at 2-1.

Martin and the Crunch closed the door and locked down the victory.

The story of this game was Lehigh Valley goaltender, Krill Ustimenko.

The 21-year-old was called up from Reading on Thursday and was sensational with 36 saves for the game.

The phenom kicked out 19 of 20 first period chances en route to being the Star of the Game.

Syracuse goals were supplied by Dominik Masin and Alex Barre-Boulet.

Lehigh Valley was tremendous with their penalty kill and went 7 for 7.
