Bryson Stott adds on by hitting a sac fly allowing Trea Turner to score, giving the Phillies a 2-0 lead. In the top 3rd, Brandon Nimmo hits a home run to deep right-center field, cutting Phil’s lead to 2-1.

This game featured one of MLB’s best pitchers Max Scherzer. The Phillies opposed him with young pitcher Christopher Sanchez. Here’s how the scoring went. Trea Turner singled to left center, Brandon Marsh scored, game tied at 2-2 in the 5th. Pete Alonso hit into fielder’s choice, and Brandon Nimmo scored Mets retook the lead 3-2. Tommy Pham singled to shallow right center, Starling Marte scored, and the Mets extended their lead to 4-2. That’s how this one would end. 4-2 Mets taking game 2 of this series.
