The Philadelphia Phillies were planning on continuing to keep up their winning ways after beating the Tampa Bay Rays on the road. In the match-up of the Phillies versus the Marlins, the fish had other plans. The Marlins just took 3 out of 4 from the St. Louis Cardinals. The Phillies get caught up with the Miami Marlins and drop another series to a divisional series.

Christian Pache
Coming off the bench in a pinch-hit situation and replacing Brandon Marsh. And what a way to deliver! The Phillies were down 3-2 to the Marlins late in the 9th. Cristian Pache came up huge with a two-run home run that carried the Phillies to victory. This helped the Phillies to their 13 straight road win. Tying their set record, going back to 1976.
Game 2. Christian Pache starts the game with a deep, warring track double. Alec Bohm would then go across the plate up the Phillies right back in this game.
The Phillies Starting Pitching with a Sloppy Series
Friday night Zach Wheeler was starting pitcher, and he was catching the business from the nasty Marlins lineup. Former Phillie Jean Segura would set the tone by getting a single. Joey Wendle would get a double, and Jacob Wendle would get a single. Garrett Cooper hits his 12th home run of the season. Zach Wheeler would finish out his day with 7k’s, seven hits, giving up three runs and 1 Home run.
Ranger Suarez would get an early wake-up call from Jorge Soler, who smashes the ball deep and over the wall. Dane Myers, with bases loaded, unloads with signal and drives in a couple of RBIs. It would be a rough day at the office/ Rqnger allowed eight hits, four runs, and four walks. He only tallied up 4 K’s

Aaron Nola coming off one of the biggest games of his season with 12Ks. However, it’s totally a different story in this case. Aaron Nola gets waffled from the jump and gives up three home runs. Bryan De La Cruz had his 3 out of 4 hits on Aaron Nola that’s including a home run. This Miami Marlins team showed why they have one of the nastiest lineups in MLB, ranked 4th in the league.
Does Kyle Schwaber need to move down the lineup?
Kyle Schwaber goes for 1-13 in this series with eight Ks. He is now leading the league in strikeouts with 117. I think it’s time to put Bryson Stott in that leadoff position. He was doing an amazing job leading off at the beginning of the season. He had that incredible hitting streak. The Phillies need to come up with a better solution for that lead-off spot.
