Phillies Opening Day Roster!

We got the Phillies Opening Day Roster!

The moment we have all been waiting for! The Phillies have finally released their 2020 Opening Day roster. The roster is pretty much as we expected. With the exception of a few surprising cuts. Nick Williams did not make the roster. The one that stands out the most to me is Josh Harrison. I thought Harrison looked very serviceable and would make the team.

Alec Bohm and Spencer Howard also did not see their names on the final roster. However, that was expected seeing how the Phillies can and will save an extra year of Arbitration by calling them up 7 fulls days into the new season. Expect them to be called up very soon.

Standout Roster Spots:
Neil Walker
Kyle Garlick

Joe Girardi is taking a chance on a number of Pitchers including Trevor Kelley (lefty), Reggie McClain (righty), and Ramon Rosso (righty) to start off the season.

The Bullpen will be this season’s make or break for the Boys of Summer. They are bringing back Tommy Hunter and Cole Irvin. This team is just hoping for some signs of life from anyone in the later innings of each game. Before turning the ball over to Closer Hector Neris.

Standout Star, Phil Gosselin is expected to be added to the roster tomorrow.

Phillies open up the Season at Home vs the Miami Marlins tomorrow, Friday July 24th @ 7:05pm
