Monday’s first game of a doubleheader had Charlie Morton vs. Tijuan Walker. The Braves would strike first on an Austin Riley home run in the top of the first. Top 3rd Ronald Acuna rbi single scoring Michael Harris braves lead 2-0. Bottom 3rd Alex Bolhm rbi double scoring B.harper and K. Schwaber game tied at 2. Top 5th Matt Olsen and Ozzie Albies would both hit RBI doubles braves take a 5-3 lead. Bottom 5th Alex Bolhm would drive in his 3rd RBI and Bryson Stott would double in a run cutting the lead to 5-4.
Top 6th Michael Harris hits a 2-run homerun and Ronald Acuna with a solo jack gives the Braves an 8-4 lead. Bottom 7th Trea Turner stays white hot as he hits a 2-run homerun cutting Atl lead 8-6. Bottom 9th Bryce Harper ties the game with 2 outs in the 9th with a 2-run homerun. Top 10th Kevin Pillar singles in a run, followed by Orlando Arcia’s double would turn out to be enough as the brave take game 1 10-8 the bullpen hasn’t been good for the Phillies of late.
